Contact seal of bearing with external seal

Update:28-02-2020
Summary:

A contact seal is a seal that is in contact with its relative moving parts without gaps. Due to the direct contact between the seal and the mating part, the seal has a large friction and a large amount of heat during work, which is likely to cause poor lubrication and the contact surface is easy to wear, resulting in a reduction in sealing effect and performance. Therefore, it is only suitable for medium and low speed working conditions. Contact seals are commonly used in felt seals, skeleton skin bowl seals and other structural forms.
