How to install the tapered bore bearing on the cylindrical shaft?

Update:11-08-2020
Summary:

1. An adapter sleeve installed close to the shaft shoulder needs a spacer sleeve, and its design should enable the adapter sleeve to move in its concave space so that the bearing and the spacer sleeve have good contact. If a straight shaft without shoulder is used, the adapter sleeve should be placed in a predetermined position (including the design position and the position recorded before disassembly), or measured to match the position of the bearing in the bearing chamber.
2. Wipe the inside and outside of the bearing and adapter sleeve to be used with a clean, non-hairing white cloth, and then apply a thin layer of engine oil on the mating surface
3. After wiping the shaft clean, put a little oil on its mating surface and put on the adapter sleeve. Use a tool (such as a slotted screwdriver to slightly pry the opening of the adapter sleeve, so that the adapter sleeve can be moved along the axis on the shaft.
4. After putting the bearing on the adapter sleeve, put the anti-loosening washer, and then lock the bearing with the lock nut.
5. Rotate the outer ring of the bearing by hand.
