Some rolling bearings can bear radial load and axial load at the same time, less consumption of lubricating oil, convenient installation, small friction coefficient of rolling bearing than sliding bearing, standardization, serialization, generalization, use and The maintenance is very convenient, and the expensive non-ferrous metal used for manufacturing the sliding bearing can be saved; however, the rolling bearing is particularly sensitive to foreign matters such as metal chips, the life of the rolling bearing is shorter than that of the sliding bearing, and the rolling bearing is less capable of bearing the load than the sliding bearing of the same volume. Therefore, the radial size of the rolling bearing is large. Therefore, in the case of heavy load and where the radial size is small and the structural requirements are compact (such as internal combustion engine crankshaft bearings, rolling mill roller bearings), sliding bearings are often used; rolling bearings have large vibration and noise, therefore, precision requirements are required. In the case of high vibration and no vibration, the general tilting pad thrust bearing is difficult to perform, and the sliding bearing is often used.
